Arwin studied choral conducting, piano, flute and voice at the College of Music of the University of the Philippines, graduating magna cum laude. He also finished his Master of Music degree in Musicology at the same university. His interest in the choral arts has been cultivated through his involvement with the Philippine Madrigal Singers, under the guidance of Prof. Andrea O. Veneracion. Arwin has done compositions and arrangements for choirs, and some have been performed as pieces in international competitions by choirs in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. At present, he is one of the country’s more sought-after choral clinicians, and he has conducted choral workshops in the major cities of the Philippines, as well as in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Arwin has been invited and sat as a juror in international choral competitions in China and Malaysia, and in various national and regional choral competitions in the Philippines. He is currently a member of the faculties of the UP College of Music, the St. Scholastica’s School of Music, the Ateneo de Manila University and the Asian Institute for Liturgy and Music.
